PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

William Reep is a Hamburg based brand focused on maritime and nautical inspired watches and accessories.

In this case I developed the whole idea and design for that brand.
This includes naming, concept, branding, product design, packaging design, photography and web design.

William Reep does not only offer products with a unique twist - they also have a fair pricing level for products which are made out of high quality materials such as sterling silver, thick real gold platings, etc.

BRAND STORY

The origin of the jewelry brand WILLIAM REEP lies at the Port of Hamburg. But also within the soul of each and every individual. There on the river Elbe, they develop jewelry with a combination of stylish understatement and bold adventurism.

The essence of the brand is reflected in their „Hadley“ watch. In addition to its unique look, this masterpiece boasts a scratch-resistant sapphire glass and a water-resistance of 10 ATM. With just a single hand, this modern classic conveys the spirit of WILLIAM REEP the moment you set your eyes on it.

WILLIAM REEP – combines the sophisticated and the unconventional, tradition with style, beautiful and rough. We are made just for you – the buccaneer of the city.

THE PIRATE AS INSPIRATION IN MODERN TIMES

Minimalist, nautical and elegant – each and every WILLIAM REEP piece speaks its own distinct language. Yet continues to break from the norm in a refined and classy manner.
Driven by the idea of combining classic design with an individual twist, I set out to create a brand that realizes my vision of freethinking in an urban context.

NAMING FOR WILLIAM REEP

‘William’ pays homage to William Condon – one of the most influential pirates of his time – while ‘Reep’ is a clear reference to our origin in Hamburg and its unashamed Reeperbahn flair. These 2 elements combine to make up the brand’s distinct name.

But also its soul – the soul of a pirate: rough and unpredictable. Like the oceans that he sailed. A determined businessman and a cunning outlaw. A rebel with style. A fascinating play between noblesse and twilight.

WILLIAM REEP. As rough as Reeperbahn’s pavements. As stylish as a merchant. Dazzling like the harbor. Strong-willed like the sea.

Protected by sapphire glass and water-resistant up to 100 meters / 300 ft, this watch is the perfect companion to any adventure. Its slender and harmonious shape compliments the wearer. While its interchangeable perlon nato straps wrap elegantly around the wrist. With a unique and customizable look, this watch’s exceptional design and quality will emphasize your own unique style.

JEWELRY

All the accessories are inspired by nautical elements and ornaments.
As a range to launch the brand I decided to create 3 different product-types. Starting with a more simple and minimal design like the bangle which is inspired by an paddle up to the monkey-fist bracelet which is a little bit more playful until the clasp bracelet which is more conspicuouswith its engravings inspired nautical and maritime ornaments.

This was basically the frame of the design range it will never get more minimal or more fancy within the range of WILLIAM REEP products.
Currently I am working on some more product-designs for WILLIAM REEP.
